I listen empathetically and provide a supportive environment that fosters self-reflection in order for clients to better understand how they are stuck in familiar patterns that lead to depression and anxiety. I understand that it can be difficult to start therapy and although one is motivated to change, it can be difficult to envision how to change. One has to has to have an emotional experience to let go deep-seated patterns that may be contributing to issues in relationships, work, school, and feeling fulfilled.

Each life stage comes with its own challenges, which impact how one navigates the world around them. Adolescents can be an emotionally tumultuous and difficult part of life, which can be seen in school or home. I work with adolescents and their families to develop a better awareness of family dynamics, which may be rooted in generational or individual trauma. I work either in individual sessions or family sessions to uncover trauma that can lead to improved relationships.

Every client brings a complex and unique set of needs that requires an individualized approach. I use a clinical theory that best fits each client and make adjustments as needed. I have been trained in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and see it as an important agent of change that can help develop understanding and meaning.

I provide psychotherapy virtually through zoom or doxy.

I accept insurance through Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. I also provide the necessary paperwork for out-of-net work insurance benefits.
